Hi all,

I've read on the forum that normally after

I apply for the I-751, the first send you a NOA (which

extends the res. for another year...),

and then they send you the biometric appointment.

Well, here I am, I've got the appt letter, and

I was fingerprinted yesterday, but ther is no NOA letter.

Is there a chance that it will arrive AFTER the bio letter?

What is your experience in this case?

Should I be concerned?

Thanks in advance,

Andy

There is a lot of information available on this forum that is saying Texas Service Center has not and is not sending out the NOAs. Since you are in Miami you filed in Texas so you will not receive an NOA. You may wish to read some of the relevant threads about this. What you will need to do is make an INFOPASS appointment at your local USCIS office and get a temporary I-551 stamp placed in your unexpired passport. The local offices are well aware that TSC is not sending out the extension letters so you will have no problems getting the stamp - just the hassle of having to go and get it instead. The stamp will extend your greencard status for a year.

Here is a useful thread that will have the most information available for recent filers to TSC:

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Ohh, I didn't know that, thanks for the info.

Should I get a stamp BEFORE my GC expires or AFTER?

Does it make any difference?

It would probably better if you got your passpot stamped before your GC expires.
