Hello,

My husband completed his biometrics, but we never got the NOA extending his PR card for a year. How can we get a new one sent to us?

Also, what is the web address for the USCIS website where you can log in and see if your case status has been updated?

Thanks so much for your help!

here's the link to case status online: https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/index.jsp

i believe there was (is?) a glitch at one of the service center (texas?), and they do not send NOA1. (Perhaps someone can correct me or let you know what your recourse is).

09-02-2005 Applications for AOS, EAD, and AP received by MSC

10-21-2005 AOS fingerprint notice for 12-08-2005

11-07-2005 AP approved

12-05-2005 Infopass appt at San Jose office for interim EAD -- Refused, because it is already approved by MSC on 11-07-2005

12-07-2005 Attempt at interim EAD at San Francisco office -- no go. Back to San Jose, where CSO (chief station officer) tells they will contact MSC via email to request permission to issue interim EAD

12-08-2005 Biometrics for AOS and EAD. Having no EAD appt letter was no problem (used EAD NOA)

12-15-2005 EAD arrived in the mail

12-24-2005 Received interview letter; interview scheduled 03-01-2006

01-28-2006 Received replacement SSN card in married name (5 wks since application)

03-01-2006 AOS interview -- approved; received stamp in the passport

03-13-2006 Green card arrived in the mail

Correct, Texas is not sending out the NOA letters apparently. What you will need to do is to make an INFOPASS appointment at your nearest immigration office, bring your valid passport and proof of filing information (a copy of the cancelled cheque, biometrics letter, etc.), and your current greencard and they will put an I-551 stamp in your passport that will extend your status for a year.

The website is http://www.uscis.gov When you get there you can click on 'case status on line' on the left hand side. You then type in the number from the case biometrics appointment and it will give you your case status. You can also create an account where they can send you email updates of any significant changes to your account, as well as check the last date listed when your file was worked on ('touched').

Good luck.
