Is there really a $100 fee for the interview? The packet came from Manila. Is there a fee for the interview?

The fee is for the visa itself ($100 for K1) - but the costs are more for typical interviews - medical exam; lab tests, vaccinations (if needed) and then the ususal hotel/airline/food/taxi etc. - total roughly $1000 to $1500 at the high end and $300 to $400 at the low end (if you live in the same city as the consulate.)

Another member from here told me that there is a cost for the interview and for the medical at the hospital in Manila and also they charge to deliver the Filipino's passport with the visa back to them. I am finding out quickly that the immigration isn't so cheap.

There is a fee for the medical at St Luke's of $95 that is paid at the medical appointment. Any vaccinations that you receive are at no additional cost.

There is a visa fee of $100. You should pay this at any BPI office and they will provide you a receipt on tha back of one of the forms.

There is a delivery fee that you will need to pay to Delbros for delivery of the passport with the visa. You pay this at the Delbros counter right after the interview. The price depends on the delivery address. For Metro Manila I thinks it's around PHP165. For other areas it will be a bit higher.

When asking questions specific to a particular consulate, don't be too concerned what those from other consulates/countries offer as fact. Each consulate has their own rules/procedures/requirements.

Actually, the fee is for processing the visa application.

There's no refund if the application is denied, and there's no additional charge for the visa itself if the application is approved.
