I wanna go... :(:D

Awwww, you'll be going back soon maybe??

I hope so but not sure, it may be longer now...if I want to have a baby first. And we can't afford for both of us to go before next winter. I don't know, it's all complicated! I have to choose when I want to have a baby, and how it will affect me being able to travel. I don't want to travel so far while pregnant. So it'd have to be after the baby was born and a few months old or older. It's hard because I want to start having kids soon, but also want to visit India soon. Who knows what'll happen!

Going to India is a very different experience if you have to see family. Not much fun at all for me. I don't look forward to it :(

I told my wife, we should go to India, hit Goa and Maldives (not India but might as well be) on the way back and not tell our family.. she's like no way am I going to India and not seeing my mom... I understand but that really takes away my desire to go there :P

:P

yeah...let's just say the next time I go to India, I will be very excited but also very nervous because I'll be meeting Sujeet's family. I wish my mommy and daddy could come with us!! :crying::lol: J/K

We have to decide

-how long to wait until we start a family

-if I should wait until after meeting Sujeet's family, but that could delay the baby thing awhile which makes me sad!!

-if it'd be easier for me to meet them all with a baby, or without a baby

Anyway...

Frances...did you see on the Travel Channel last month, Jeremy Piven's(movie star guy) trip to India? http://travel.discovery.com/fansites/piven...k=netmain_feat1 He went to Kerala on part of it, which I think is like Goa. Agent, am I right or wrong?

Anyway Jeremy Piven was a bit of a weirdo on it in my opinion, hehe, but he traveled around India for 2 weeks. Also wanted to add---he did portray very well the exact same feelings after landing in India as I did....overwhelmed, insane driving, constant horn honking, and that no matter how many tour books and pictures you look at of India...being there is much much different! But after awhile you get used to the noise and you're not overwhelmed anymore. I think where you are going is not as hectic. (I could be wrong again hehe)

Never been to Kerala. Or any point south of Goa, for that matter. I hear it's prettier than Goa is but that's from a south indian friend of mine so he's biased.

only thing I'm worried about is being able to eat Indian food for 10 days...eep!:lol:

And I also could not wear any of the shoes :crying: I have big feet! I told Sujeet next time we have to get bigger shoes for us poor folk.

Relax, Goa can be as crazy or as chill as you want it to be.

Eat nothing that is cold. Only hot. And if you can't digest Indian food well, stick to dosas and idli. You'll be fine. And take medicine for travelers diarrhea, I think they prescribe Cipro for that.
