Hello,

I'm currently under OPT (exp May 31, 08). I'm gonna apply for adjustment of status (AOS) based on marriage to USC. Since I have a degree in science, I'm qualify for the 17-month OPT extension. My question is can I apply for both OPT extension and EAD (based on AOS) at the same time? The reason I wanna do this is because I want to fill the gap period from June 1, 08 until I receive my EAD.

Does anybody know what will be my status after my AOS application is received by USCIS? Will I still be under F1 status?

Thank you
