The embassy or consulate will automatically extend the K-1 approval, this is very common with the slower consulates.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

HI Jordin, I just read your post. We are on the same situation. My fiancé’s interview is on Jul 9. What I did was to call USISC. I spoke to a very nice lady. She asked me for our case number and expiration date of the case, which is Jun 6, 2008. She told me it won't be a problem. They know that they are behind with the interview appointments. She added a note to our file recording my phone call. However, I will fax a notarized letter asking for the extension of our approval. Later, I will sent the letter to my fiance with the confirmation page so he can have it on the day of the interview. You can go to example forms on the top of this website and you will find a standard form to write the letter.

I hope this will help you. We are all on the same boat. Good luck. We have to be patients and keep ourselves occupied.

Y
