I'm curious what kind of deals everyone is getting on the 1 way plane tickets on short notice out of Manila also.

November 5, 2007 --- 1-129F sent to CSC

November 6, 2007 --- Package received at CSC signed for by V SEMEGI

November 14, 2007 --- NOA1 Date

November 19, 2007 --- NOA1 Hardcopy I-797 received in the mail

March 10, 2008 ---- Touched

March 13, 2008 ---- Touched

March 14, 2008 ---- Touched

March 20, 2008 ---- Touched ( I guess approved but no update on website or email?)

March 25, 2008 ---- Noa2 hard copy received in the mail Dated March 20, 2008

March 31, 2008 ---- NVC Received our File-- Assigned case #

April 2, 2008 ------- Package shipped to US embassy Manila

May 8-9, 2008------ Medical (approved)

May 20, 2008------- Interview (Approved)

May 29, 2008------- Visa Delivered

June 12, 2008------ Flight to USA -POE Chicago

I just have my interview earlier,...

Arrived at 6:30 for 7:30 schedule... we're out at 11am

There were plenty people in US Embassy....

The guard guide us to the blue chairs area and wait to get the ticket # and submit DS forms & appointment letter

Return back to the blue chairs and wait my # flash in the screen for the pre-screen interview...

Filipino pre-screener just asked my cenomar, nso, nbi, 1-134, when is my birthday & where did I met my fiance. He told me to sign the DS forms(he checked already which one will I need to sign). He then told me to proceed in window 15 for finger print scanning.

After fingerprint scanning we return to blue chairs and wait for my # to be flash in the board for final interview (it takes 3 hours i think :( I was assigned in window 31.

The consul is nice.

Here are some of his questions to me:

When did u first met ur fiance?

When did u met him in person?

What are u doing in Costa Rica? did u just went there specially to met him?

Do u have relatives in Costa Rica?

So, you work in TV Station?

and you work in FM Station?

What is MCkinsey & Company? (my latest job)

The consul will just ask depends on ur documents .... nothing else :)

His questions for my fiance:

So you are a chief?

What are your specialties? :) Then reach to cooking ;) hehe

We're there inside maybe 10 minutes :) coz he's slow in typing back and forth in PC.

He then said, I am approved, and it's easy for him to do it haha...

all in all he's nice and friendly...

I met my friends in VJ also :)

NOT much for good fares and I book a lot of flights and know the routes. EVA air through Taiwan is sometimes not bad. China Air isn't too bad. There is competition on the Manila LA route so those fares can stay down. You are almost always best booking a RT even if you only use half of it. Be careful going through Guam on Continental unless you book flight 1 as if you take the island hopper you will be entering Guam and then entering again at Honolulu and the K1 will already be used up. Guam is a good POE though. Good luck!

Dec 19, 2007 Touched

March 13, 2008 Called CSC was told that file had been given to AO on Mar 13th and should be approved probably within 10 days

April 7, 2008 Called CSC Was told file had not been removed from file room and he would walk over and get it to an AO since they had been working on those vintage files for a while. TOUCHED

April 8, 2008 TOUCHED

April 14 Contacted Senator McCain's office for assistance

April 14 Called CSC, was told the file had been sent to FBI for security check and this could take weeks or months. TOUCHED

April 17, applied for B1-B2 appointment date - only 3 weeks away.

April 17 TOUCHED

April 18 TOUCHED, EMBRACED AND KISSED. Notified by email and on site that 129F was approved, 160 days

APril 23 TOUCHED AGAIN? Hopefully the touch is just the CSC boot kicking our butt out the door

May 2 Left NVC

May 5 Received US Embassy, Manila

May 11 B1/B2 interview- approved

May 15- June 21 She came to visit in US

June 22 returned to PI

June 23 K1 Interview, doc verification not complete (VERIFY THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENS!)

Cancelled flight plans for her first 4th of July in US

July 3 Approved document verification back to Embassy

July 11 VISA ready, picked up at Embassy

July 12 Flew to US and entered K1 at Miinneapolis - painless.

July 29 Married in US

October 8 Paperwork for AOS and submitted

Nov 13 - Biometrics

Patiently waiting for AOS, EAD and AP - easy to be patient while happily being married and living together!

Hi where is ur final destination.

We will use Nortwest Airlines... POE detroit final destination Raleigh... it's 1,021 for 3rd week of May, $979 for june (1 way ticket)

I noticed that if my Poe is Minneapolis, it's cheaper ,,, but I need Detroit coz my fiance is with me and he has return ticket..
