I used to do this in school too, right after an exam - I'm sitting here thinking, everything is signed, everything is filled out, everthing was nice and organized - you know like replaying the questions you got right on an exam. Then my stomach completely dropped, I have no proof my SO was there too....other than pics and those are considered secondary, right?

Ok, so I fly all the way too India, I have proof I was there. Yeah, it's his country and all that, but we didn't meet up in his city because it's all strife ridden - we met in Delhi instead. I didn't think to have any of his proof that he was in Delhi and I'm not sure how to get some. We were very old school and used cash for just about everything...ugh, am I worrying for nothing????

Cant see any problem at all. My fiance flew into London and i live in Scotland. You have the pics that show you were together. Dont think you need proof that you were in his home town, just his home country.

Like I said, I have stuff for me...but I have no proof he was in Delhi. He lives in another state and traveled to Delhi to spend time with me and I havent a clue if he has his old tickets. What hotel info I have is in my name, not his...granted every hotel I was in took all guests info, including copies of passport photos. Maybe I could somehow get some sort of letter stating we both stayed in the same hotel at the same time???? Could that work? I know, Im acting all crazy and OCD-ish.

Well im sure with all the other evidence that you are providing eg - letters. email, phone calls will show that it was him that you visited. Was it a double room that you booked? How far away exactly does he live from Delhi?

I think you should be fine, I don't think the US centers are automatically as suspicious as they can possibly be of our cases  The fact that you went to India, regardless of city, is good. If you have the hotel receipts and they say you had 2 guests there, or double room, or whatever else, then that's great. Send the photos in as secondary evidence as well and write on pencil in the back about what date it was, where you were, etc.

Remember to be as informative as possible in the forms. When you're explaining how you met, explain that your SO flew into Delhi to meet you. There's really no reason you'd lie about all this...and they're going to have the pictures and any other secondary evidence you can choose to send in already too (though it's not required at all). Also, while it's not solid proof, any restaurant receipts, tickets to events/museums, etc., that sort of thing, that you have can also be used as proof.

Don't worry so much :P I think you're good to go.

If you have a plane ticket showing the dates you were there, and if you have pictures showing you two together, then you have no problem. I understand we ALL have to worry about everything, me included. I worry about eveyrthing and second guess and double and triple check and find things to worry about because this is very important to all of us. For me, this is the most important thing I have ever done in my entire life, and for most of you I am sure you feel the same way.

However, you need to think rationally as well and not let emotions and worry cloud your judgment. If you have the proof showing you were in the country, if you have pictures together, if you have some sort of bank transaction showing you charged/spent money somewhere in the country (I am sure you didn't ONLY use cash 100% of the time you were there), then don't worry you have nothing to worry about.

I know a lot of people, including my fiance herself, is going to college (In bangkok) but used her home address. Also, I am going to college as well right now and have a different address but used my HOME address as the primary address.

Don't worry you're fine!
