NVC generated and send out the Instruction Package (also called Packet 3) at Marc-24th. My papers go to my lawyer firs but I didn’t heard nothing yet from him about the package! I already know what I have to send back to him soon when hi package received the package. My question is after NVC received this package and everything is in order nothing missing, how long they sitting on it before they forward it to the embassy?

Thank you guys for all of your feedback!

I believe package 3 is the DS-230 Form with part1 & Part II (which you can download of course) and they will asked you to attached a copy of the original birth certificate, marriage certificate, NBI /Polilce Clearance, 2x2 picture (not sure how many). Let's wait for some VJ's members they might have something to add on.

I've heard from reading threads and from ppl I know, that they sit on it for 1-3 months, but they have paced up recently, with ppl getting them within 6 weeksor so...there's no hard and fast rule. I sent mine last week, and am just waiting for NVC to send it to the London Embassy so I can get an interview....hopefully soon....will let you know

As far as I know, DS230 is the instruction package (form DS 230 -I and II, birth certificate, marriage certificate, police clearance or certificates, 2 photos 2x2 and photocopy of biographic page of passport) which could also be called packet 2, since packet 3 comes with medical exames and packet 4 comes with the appointment date.

Could anyone please confirm if whether or not this information is correct??

The whole packet thing does not exist anymore for CR1/IR1 visas since the NVC is now gathering all documents and making the appointments themselves for most embassies.

These are the things the NVC will need:

DS-3032

AOS fee bill

IV Bill

I-864

DS-230

Once they process all of those documents they will take about 2 weeks to complete the case. Then they will make an appointment with the embassy the first two weeks of the following month. In most cases. After they do this, they will send out the interview letter to both, the petitioner and the beneficiary, with lab & medical instructions. This is what used to be called packet 4.
