Maybe someone here can explain?

My flew to Brazilia yesterday for her pyhsical.

Before she went she was given a price for the physical, they now want R$960 for the physical and take 2 days.

I have read that the max cost of the physical would be $100.

Olá,

I haven't gotten that far in the process yet, but that sounds extremely high. I've also heard that the price should be around $100 but almost $600 US dollars is ridiculous. Did she get a quote when she made the appt? I would have her question the doctors office regarding the amount. If they will not reduce the amount, I would see about making an appt with a different doctor if that is possible. At least get an itemized list of what was performed. Not sure if this was helpful, but I'm sure others will respond.

Maybe you can also contact the embassy in Rio. I would talk to someone about it. Might not do any good, but it couldn't hurt.

Boa sorte
