Check returned and receipt number not working

Hi everyone!

I sent in my package a few weeks ago and just recently they sent me the check back with the fee for I-765, the employment authorization form. It was for $340, which is the correct amount. The receipt they sent me said that it was either the wrong amount or they just didn't need it and no further actions were needed from me at this point. Does this mean that I don't have to pay for that form because I sent it all in in one package?

Also, I tried both calling and looking up my case online with the receipt numbers I've received, but none of them worked. Should I be worried about this?

When paying $1,010 for I-485, it includes I-765 and I-131. No need to pay extra for those forms.

So you are good to go as long as they cashed your $1,010 check!!

Lili is correct, also there arnt many people that are able to immediately see their cases online, many times it takes a week, so there is no problem with your case, just be patient!

Hi again!

So apparantely they had cashed my check for the I-131 for $355 AND the check for $1010 for the rest of the forms. Did they make a mistake cashing the check for the I-131 or was it never included in the package?

As you are saying $355, i am assuming you are talking about I-130 and not I-131.

I-130 is NOT included in the $1,010 fee so no, they did not make a mistake.

The fee for I-131 is $305 and it is irrelevant as it is included in the $1,010 fee.
