Hi I'm new here I have been reading this forum since I started my spouse petition. I send out my I-130 for my husband on Feb 26, 2008 and was received Feb 29th and got First NOA March 5, 2008. is there more people who filled on Feb 2008 that could share their status? and also do you guys have any experience with the embassy at Dominican Republic?

I filed in Febuary and got and approval March 19 but I think im the exception and I dont know why but you can check the time lines and keep your self updated

wow that's amazing! congrats I don't know if is going to be that fast for me or not but like you said checking other peoples timeline does comfort a little. I think that the country where the spouse is from makes the whole process easier or harder.

Hi,

I sent in my I-130 on February 8 to the CSC and still haven't gotten an NOA1 yet...is that normal or should I be on the phone harassing people? I keep looking at the "processing times" on the USCIS website and they're "processing" (whatever that means) petitions sent by August 19, so I was assuming that I had a long time to wait but looking at everyone else's info, it seems like everyone in the world has gotten their NOA1 except me. I'm divorced, so does that have anything to do with it? And I'm living abroad (with my husband) is that what's taking so long? If anyone has any input let me know. :blink:

The "processing" times mean that they have already issued you a receipt and they are working on the approval for the case. I would call the 1800 number for USCIS and ask them about your receipt. They do sometimes send the receipt to the wrong address and sometimes don't issue it at all. So I would call to verify that they got it. Or you can make an info pass appointment at your local immigration office.

you can submit the I-129F at anytime during the process, but the problem some people are running into is that the I-130 gets approved first and the I-129F gets disregarded, so it becomes a wasteof time for you and for USCIS. But it is up to you.

12-11-2007- Married my Love

02-08-2008- CSC receives I-130

02-11-2008- Received Hardcopy NOA1

08-14-2008- Approved!!! 216 days...

08-21-2008- NOA2 Hardcopy received

08-27-2008- NVC Receives file, NVC Case Number issued

Hey guys good news!

So my mom didn't know the significant terms of "Notice of Action" and all that and thought that it was just a receipt, and after reading these forums and posts and stuff I learned that the NOA is the first thing I should be receiving so I thought that I hadn't got it yet (filed back on Feb. 8! :help: ) so I was sweating bullets :crying: and finally my mom scanned me the document and it IS the NOA!!! :dance: I am SOOOOO happy that I'm not behind and don't have to call them but that I'm moving along normally with everyone else, it's such a good feeling and what a relief because I can't just call them up and sort this out because I'm in Morocco right now. Just wanted to share the good news that I actually did get my NOA! :wow: You guys don't know how much I was freaking out thinking that it was lost in the mail or lost in the office at USCIS, I'm so happy right now! Has anyone gotten their second NOA yet? Let's track our progress.
