I'm seeing a trend here....

We get it, Manila. You guys have interviews. A lot of them. Congratulations. Good luck with the interview, and if you'd like, you can bring some of your friends over to play too. We won't bite.... hard. *makes stupid little Austin Powers pawing motion*

I have a theory as to why we've been inundated with "interview date scheduled at Manila!!!!" threads lately....

Proximity.

When you click on the regional forums section, Russia is right after the P.I. and when people first learn their interview date they are so super stoked that they stick the keys a little and inadvertantly post to the wrong forum. So that covers the Pinoy postings.

As for the invasion from our Northern Neighbours, there are a few reasons. (I'll list them because there are several)

1. Canadians have a wonderful mastery of the English language and it's very easy for them to read EVERY SINGLE THREAD on VJ while they sit in their cubicles at work with nothing to do while they wait for their visas to the U.S.

2. Using their mastery of the English language, they click on the "most recent" topics and end up here in the Russia forum because after boosting their post count by adding a winky face and a "Congrats!" then they're sucked into the quagmire of quasi-off-topic smut that is the Russia Forum. They're helpless against it's powers and find themselves quickly posting before the second intermission is over. (You caught the hockey reference, eh?)

3. There are a few members of the VJ community that have Russian relatives by-way-of Canada. (Or vice-versa!)

4. That damn ESPN keeps showing basketball highlights instead of NHL playoff games.

I suddenly feel a strong urge to eat some gravy on my french fries....

I think it's because there is a secret code in the forum that automatically posts random "we got our interview" posts in the RU forum, but only if the RU membership happen to be arguing amongst themselves over such topics as pro/con-bestiality or how best to deport Satellite's wife for leaving him. This is actually a check in place to keep the RU forum peasants from rising up and toppling the bourgeoisie forum moderators who keep their boots on the neck of the proletariat.

But then...I've said too much.
