Financial Sponsorship -- must it be ME?

I am looking over the K-1 Process Flowchart and clicking into all the details.

One thing I must know about since I'm overseas right now and not back in the US: is it possible for a person other than me to do the financial sponsorship? That is the I-134 form. Or else if it can be someone else, then it might be a different form, not sure.

For me this would be a lot less hassle since if it must be me, then it means I'd need to return now to the US and get a new job before starting this K-1 process.

I have family who would be able to pledge the sponsorship easily.

Any info appreciated.

As the primary sponsor you need to fill out an I-134. But you can have a cosponsor who meets the poverty guidelines.

As a petitioner, you are always the primary sponsor. However, if you don't meet the requirements, you can have a co-sponsor who does. As long is there is A sponsor meeting the 125% poverty mark, the requirement is met.

you will be the first one, but if your income does not reach the poverty line, you need a sponser.
