Official HPV Vaccine/New Police Certicate Thread

Yeah, I could never get anyone to give me a straight answer at NVC, where they've been holding up our packet from being sent to London because of the "new" certificate requirement, even though the old one was supposed to still be valid. So, while I was waiting for them to pull their heads out we just went ahead and ordered a new one.

The real pain is having an "authorized person" write and sign the identity affidavit on the back of that teeny passport-sized picture. It can't be just anyone, it has to be a solicitor, your GP, your optometrist, a teacher, etc. who has known you for at least 2 years.

We used his optometrist and sent it via the regular, non-expedited method. We got it back in like 4 days, over this last bank holiday weekend. It wouldn't have been worth paying double for it to get here on virtually the same day. We ordered a second copy included for only £5 more which will be worth it when the interview comes up.

So, we sent that in to NVC a couple of weeks ago and hopefully they will *finally* send our paperwork to London so we can get our interview appt.

I used the old certificate last week and it was fine - I started a post about a month ago about the new police certificate with links and references that says it can be used until August - I printed it all out and was going to wave it in their face if they had anything to say about my old one

Just wanted to say we got the new police certificate in 4 days! Nothing is that fast in this country!!

I'm a little confused now, I sent off to the met police and have now finally received a police certificate or what i think is a police cert. Its has National Identification Services Authentic Document stamped along the top, then other than some fancy printing in the background, just seems to be a letter saying Dear/Sir Madad, Section 7, Data protection act, yada yada in reply to you request, blah, no information held, yours faithfully. Is this ok to be used to april, or should I hand over another £35 and get the ACPO thing done?

It seems they've stopped accepting the old Subject Access form which you have. Yes, that's another £35 you'll never see again

Printed out the form for this new certificate the other day (figured I'd get it a little ahead of time), and I was a bit surprised to see my photo needed to be certified by someone who wasn't a family member and was of one of the professions they listed. I was utterly stumped, until I remembered my GP could do it. But then I visited him and forgot to get him to sign it! Doh. Luckily I remembered my mum's partner is a civil servant (though they're not married so not technically family) so all's well!

My new Police Certificate arrived today.

If I didn't have access to the net for whatever reason and went by the literature they sent me on packet 3, I'd have never known about this.

No packet 4 yet but it's early days.

Didn't they have info about the new cert in Packet 3?? In mine (admittedly for CR-1 so not the same) they had info about the old one, but then an additional slip saying that from February you must get the new one

Just interested if some people got the info with their packet 3, and some didn't

We had our GP sign my boys photo & the form. Then the certificate showed up in 4 days! Nice to know something is fast in this country!!

Just out of curiosity, when did they make it mandatory for women to get the HPV vaccine for AOS?? I filed for AOS not even 6 months ago and it wasn't required then. I guess things move fast!

All I heard about it was when I went to my gynecologist here and she said I could get it if I wanted....

Anyways I was just curious as to when they made it mandatory?

If it's not mandatory for us in the US to get the hpv then why do you guys have to get it done?
