I am filling out the forms for my fiancee for our interview in early April. My fiancee is a widow. Her husband died in a car accident on 06/13/2000. On the DS-156K, line 4c asks "how and when marriage terminated".

I noticed a couple major bonehead errors I made in the K-1 petition. USCIS and NVC either didn't notice, noticed but wasn't a major thing, or just didn't care.

-On my I-129F line 10, date marriage ended I wrote 7/13/2000. (I think my fiancee gave me that date, she probably got confused by a month.)

-On the G-325a, date and place of termination of marriage I have 03/05/2000. (I have no clue where this date came from)

-I included with the petition a copy of the certificate of death that makes her a widow, it correctly notes that he died 6/13/2000.

Somehow, I didn't catch it while checking it before I sent it out ( :bonk: ) but also not by USCIS.

Now, I have 2 questions:

1. Should I be worried about this for the interview?

2. On DS-156K, I assume I should put the correct date, right?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

That shouldn't be a problem. The only important part is she is free and able to marry. Since he didn't unfortunately pass away, the exact date doesn't matter. Just use the correct date from now on. Also, maybe the interviewee takes a copy of the death certificate with them..
