I am looking at all the pics on my computer and all of them are well above the 100kb requirement for visa journey... How can I compress or crop or someother term that I am not familar with the pics so people can see me on here?

You are going to have to really spell it out for me as I am a dimwit with these things

Open your pics using Windows default Paint program (you'll find under Start - All Programs - Accessories - Paint). You can resize them which will make them smaller. There are other photo editing programs out there - your digital camera most likely came with a CD which has one on it. It may have more features. With Paint, it doesn't give you the option for how compressed you want the jpeg to be, but it will signifcantly reduce your picture size.

Adding them onto to VJ - there is a total memory limit, so you won't be able to get many uploaded straight from your computer, but you can use up less space by uploading your photos to another site, like Photobucket.com or Friendster.com, and then pasting the photo's URL into your VJ upload photo options.

Create a Flickr photo account. They have a limited free version and an unlimited pro version that is $19 per year.

Anyway, you would upload digital photos to your account. Once you click on a particular photo...a page will open with a larger view of that photo. Above it there is a toolbar. Click on the "All Sizes" option. Again...above the photo you can choose the size of photo you want from avatar size (75 X 75) to large (1024 X 696). There are 6 sizes to choose from. Apparently you are looking for avatar size. Click on square (75 X 75). It automatically resizes your photo. On the same page you can download it and there are address links so you can post it that way if you wish.

I wasn't familiar with stuff either. I just spent a few hours playing with the controls until I figured it out myself. I'm no computer geek and never went to school for it.

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

you can open a photobucket account.. it is totally free and then just upload your pictures to that account and then the grab the IMG code and paste it in the appropriate spot...

For avatar pic

"My Controls" ---> "Edit Avatar Settings -----> Copy and paste the IMG code from the photobucket account here -----> "Enter a URL to an online avatar image"
