On form I-129F Part A Number 10, it asks you to check "Birth in the U.S." or "Naturalization" and then it says "Give number of certificate, date and place it was issued" in the long box below. However in the Example on this website, it says "ONLY complete for Naturalization Certificate" in the long box.

Can anyone confirm whether or not this long box should only be filled out only for the Naturalization Certificate, or should info about a Birth Certificate be show if applicable?

I'm pretty sure that does not apply for the birth certificate. The blank is there for the "Naturalization" case.

Me, though, not knowing, found some random, unknown number on the birth certificate and used that. It didn't cause any problems at all. I think a lot of people get confused here.

Attach a photocopy of the birth certificate, regardless

You can put the number of naturalization certificate if there is one. Attach a birth certificate and naturalization copy.

Note that my reply was assuming you are a natural born citizen with only a birth certificate
