Yey I just called DoS and a very nice man called James told me that London sent P3 on Tuesday so I'm hoping it will come in tomorrows mail :) As luck has it I have half a day off tomorrow so can come home at lunch and get it off to the embassy right away!

I went into the store where I used to work on the way home too and when everyone finally recognized me they all made a big fuss out of how much weight I've lost and how good I'm looking - It felt really nice :)

Psshh and I said this day would only get better if Alan walked through the door. . .

Hope everyone is well xxx

there is so much happiness here for march filers!!! yay! P3s and NOA2s. we are on a roll!!!

and i am so thrilled that you'll get to see jeff soon, ana! yay!

Oh Erin sweetie, I'm glad you are feeling better, sorry you had to go through all that alone! I believe everything happens for a reason though and I'm glad you’re taking this time to look for a new job. Go and spend the four weeks in Chicago woman, everything will still be there to sort out when you get home!! Whatever you decide make sure you rest easy. I am dying for a break, just a few days off work to do me things...to do nothing at all. The last time I had time off was when Alan was here at Christmas

thanks bex. i hear you about breaks. the last break i had was over christmas with david in illinois. i am tempted to bail from things here and go and stay with him but i know i should be serious and get some stuff taken care of for me. i will likely go there for a week at the end of the month though. that was the plan originally

you are so close to the end that you'll see him soon and hopefully have some time off, yes? and will you be able to plan a long weekend or two between now and then? i understand what you mean about doing 'me things'. today i finally got to take care of some errands that i hadn't had time for during the last 2 months. so nice to cross things off the list :)

i am feeling much better but am kind of overwhelmed at the thought of having so much time for me. i'm also on new meds that are making me very, very tired. :sleepy: saw my doctor again today, got the paperwork completed for my leave, and got a couple of referals. i'll also be seeing a neurologist on tuesday morning which will be good to get out of the way. i feel so lucky to be living in canada where all this easily gets taken care of. with the appointments and tests from the last few days, i'd hate to think of what it might have cost me in the US.

i had a moment today where i thought 'dang, why didn't i just start trying for a work visa back in january'. i have no idea how complicated they are, only that we were considering it as a way to get me to the states so we could get married. now i want a new job and still want to go to the states. i'll have to do some research but if any of you have any experience/knowledge/input i'd appreciate it.

hugs,

erin

Hi everybody, even though half of you have gone to bed. I'm just now getting to catch up with the reading. There was so much dancing in this thread today that I can't even remember what I wanted to reply to.

First to Erin. So sorry you got that sick. I know you had so much work to do for the deadline, but we had no idea it was becoming the straw that broke the camel's back maybe. I truly hope everything settles down and you can unwind just a little. Ya got to take it easy girl. "Mother Goose" says so...(and that takes care of a reponse to Bex love.)

just checked uscis again and we have a touch today. does that mean they sent our file to NVC?
Aleena- My touches were like this: Friday- touch for the NOA2, but no changes showed in status online so I didn't know. Sunday-touch and the day they emailed me, so I call that my email touch. Tuesday-touch again and later I confirmed that is the day it left USCIS for VSC. So if you got touched today, maybe it was the email. Check again tomorrow and the next few days to see if there's more. Touches are pretty unpredictable. Maybe I had an eager new person who was following the rules and the old hands just say....awww why bother with scanning? LOL

Nic....are our names in bold or i am just so happy i am having sight problems?...lol...That was so nice of you :)

love that green color...by the way...lol

Must be your happy eyesight. hahaha (You're very welcome)

Ladies in waiting- We are so ready to dance at your party. I'm just going to sleep in my dancing shoes. I had to start dancing this morning before I had a cup of coffee down me. VIBES~~~~ to the VSC and CSC. The Anxious Aprils are ready for us to move on out. Aren't ya Kim?

Tuty- What's going on with you? Are you hanging in there?

I probably forgot something else I wanted to say, but time to get settled in for some important stuff like watching TV and soaking my feet from all this dancing today.

Oh, I remembered one more thing for Aleena. I was thinking about the countries today and an old memory bubbled up. I worked with a woman named Gyungi and I've forgotten what country she was from...maybe Romania. She said there was a calendar with names for every day and depending on your birth date, you got that calendar name. You had a regular name too. Does that ring a bell as Romanian?

While waiting for NOA2, some days I feel like this:

picture_1.jpg

Working full-time helps and keeping myself occupied with other activities and prep-work is going to help the process too I hope. Good luck to those recent lucky ones and here's a hoorah for the rest of us waiting :)

nich - you and muffin just brought the biggest smile to my face today :D

thank you!

hugs,

erin

Well good. I like it that you're smiling one in awhile.

I just noticed a little British friend of ours got her Packet 3 today and didn't even tell us. She must be real busy getting the papers together since her timeline says it's getting sent back tomorrow 6/7. So have you booked the medical yet, Bex? My advice on that is get all the shots they can give you at Knightsbridge. NHS doctor wouldn't give Nick the Tdap, which is actually something quite different in the UK from what I've been reading. He wants to go back to London and get the shot. They told him he could just drop in for it. He might go in two weeks when my daughter will be in London. It's not that far.

Hi Guys!

I'm sorry I didn't stop by yesterday. I've been so busy with work, I'm exhausted.

On a brighter note - Yey! - my P3 is on the way back to London and my police certificates came back today with NO TRACE :star: I went to see my nurse yesterday about the injections and she was a nightmare. She had no idea what DTap was and refused to listen to me when I tried to explain and then we moved onto talking about HPV. Oh my goodness, after explaining what that was also she refused to accept the fact that i needed it. She couldn't get passed the fact that I'm theoretically too old and sexually active for it to work ... lol can you be too sexually active?? So I sat there arguing with her for a while ... "I know I don't need it but for the visa i really do NEED it." In the end she told me that they don't even give it at my GPs which made me wonder why we were even talking about it still!! She gave me a number for a private clinic that do it but they quoted me £160 for the first and £120 for the second two so I'm just going to wait and have it at Knightsbridge. What a waste of freakin time!

My best friend came up from London for a few days so we caught up yesterday and had dinner, I met her new boyfriend who is lovely. I'm so glad that she has met such a nice man, i haven't seen her for 10 months and she was loving my weight loss. She moved to the South of England for university 4 years ago but our relationship never really changed and we carried on talking every other day etc. I'm not worried about how the move will effect our friendship, we will probably end up seeing each other more. She was talking yesterday as though she is definitely going to be at our wedding which is nice but i know that anything can happen between now and then so I'm not getting my hopes up until the tickets are all booked.

Hmmm seeing as we are sharing pictures here is one that I look at when I'm feeling sad. I don't think its going to have the same effect on you guys but these are my men and they make my heart smile.

Sorry its so big I'm rubbish at this game.

Teehee Nicholas had my scarf on because we were pretending to be spider man pirates but because its silk it kept slipping from his head to round his neck and he kept changing into a cowboy! Identity crisis! I hope everyone is well. Have a great weekend!
