I love chicken but I'm itching and when I try to clean our windows, and etc... I start sneezing, watery nose(lots of clear fluids like a water), and watery eyes.

Any people here with similar situations?

is it time for me to seek a doctor?

I just don't want to see a doctor and tell me "well- don't eat chicken and don't clean windows"

Im chemically intolerant . Try using vinegar and water to clean those windows. As for the chicken... maybe it isnt the bird itself, but the chemicals that are laden with it. Just a thought.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Depends on how bad the itching is too. If it's to the point where your throat or tongue swells and you can't breath properly, go see your doctor immediately. If it's minor, it could just be the chemicals like someone else said.

The dust stirred when cleaning windows could be your problem there. In that case, you are usually SOL.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

Benadryl

If you're having a bad reaction to something (like a rash or whatnot), then yes.

If you have chronic allergy problems where you'd want to take Benadryl daily, don't.

At any rate, I'm not getting the connection between chicken and cleaning the windows!

Allergy nurse stepping in. :star: If you have a dust or dust mite or even a mold allergy that can definatley cause you to the have sneeze, itchy, watery eyes, etc. whlie you are cleaning. Maybe try wearing a mask while you clean.

Do you notice these symptoms only when eating chicken? Is the chicken plain or is their seasoning added? Benadryl can help, but it's short acting....lasts about 4 hours and can make you very tired. Claritin and Zyrtec are over the counter now and last 24 hours. All antihistamines can have a sedating affect so make sure you know how you are going to handle the medication.

You might want to consider seeing an allergist and getting tested if it continues.

If you can eat plain chicken and are ok.....but the seasoning triggers itching......stop the seasoning.
