Today's Gallup tracking poll gives Hillary Clinton a four-point national leader over Barack Obama — the first time in several weeks that she's been able to claim that big a lead. Here are the numbers, compared to yesterday:

Clinton 48% (+3)

Obama 44% (-1)

Obama had been up 48%-43% two days ago, meaning there has been a potentially significant swing of about four or five percent over to Hillary in that short time.

These numbers don't include any polling from after her wins last night. The first such results will be include din tomorrow's release.

"They call Ohio a bellwether state, the battleground state. It's a state that knows how to pick a president and no candidate in recent history, Democrat or Republican, has won the White House without winning the Ohio primary," the former first lady said in Columbus.

In Case You Missed It: Sen. Obama outspent Hillary by a more than 2 to 1 margin in Ohio, Texas, and Rhode Island.

And he almost killed the lead Hillary had a month ago. From 20%+ to 3% in Texas and 10% in Ohio. Once the caucuses are counted, he will win the most delegates from Texas.

So really, Hillary is 2 for 15 in the last several races. And in the future, Penn. will be the only one she might win, but with likely really small margin.

It would have been nice to put this behind us and focus on November. But I guess Hillary is the type of person that If she can't be the nominee, she will take the party down with her.

He outspent her 2-1 & still didn't win it? He's facing a bleaker reality now. :P

He will win Texas and he reduced the lead she had in Ohio. Considering the position of these states a month ago, I think he did very well.

Is he suppose to win every state? Demographics vary widely and its likely that some states are still going to favor Hillary no matter how much money you spend.

Hillary went into the primary season as the expected nominee. And she is claiming her very narrow wins last night as amazing victories. What happened?

If she was so down-and-out & threatened by his 'momentum', how come she won all 3?

Hell, the guy out raises her almost 2 - 1.

Not quite. She raised $35M & he hasn't released his figures yet but it's over $50M (not twice as much).

I'm an Ohioan, and while I got loads of brochures and phone calls from Obama, Hilary did more to directly try and win my vote. My medical school invited both sides to come discuss healthcare to the campus. He sent some kid who couldn't even tell us the difference between H's and O's healthcare policy whereas she sent the woman who wrote her healthcare policy. She came and spoke at several local universities numerous times, he came once. He may have outspent her, but in my experience she out campaigned him. Still very impressive how much support he gained between the start of the race to now.

It's just to little to late for Hillary. There is no way she will get the 2025 delegates without some slight of hand business with FL and MI. If she gets beat in the elected delegate count and wins by virtue of the superdelegates then all hell will break loose. I say she should keep it up! The dirtier she wins the better.

She really won 2. And Obama won two as well. Caucus results count too.

The problem for her is expectations, she was expected to win by MUCH larger and more decisive margins.

While her negative attack on NAFTA (Though she was really played on that one) did damage Obama, especially in the Ohio race, she still did not come out with the margins she needs to win. She has lost recent races by such a large margin, that it will be impossible for her to recoup the leading position with only 3% margins.

by your math - she won 3 & he won 1. One is not decided yet.

Health care is a really minor issue. Simply because there are too many vested interested to do it at a national level. You can talk about it all you want, but I can't see how anyone will be able to make much more than minor reforms at that level.

Any reform on health care will happen at the state level, which will end up disadvantaging the poorer states. But such is politics.

Some people in this thread are really combative, and some are even defensive. I'd like to see more posts like msu17's. Because we're all on the same side here, this fighting seems really silly. Everyone chillax.

How so?

Aside from a few Conservative posters in this thread to whom I was not addressing the last post, everyone here is either pro-Obama or pro-Hillary.

They're so close politically. SO close.
