as late as august last year i am sure u needed avisa - unless there has been some recent change - that i dont know about.

they must still be processing visas fairly heavily - becasue its still takes 2 weeks or more to get a visa from the consolate .. though there expedited visas are down to 4 days from 9

and cost are still 100 for regular processing and 200 for expidited.. so, considering other CIS countries is slower and more expensive to get a visa... i seriously doubt that they would have done away with the requirement.......

For USA citizens no visa is required to visit the Ukraine for casual tourism, but there are restrictions on time that you can spend there.

I was there in October 2005, and then again in January 2006. Just walk into the country man and spend your $$$

According to the Decree No. 1008/2005 and the amendments to it introduced by the Decree No. 1175/2005 the US citizens do not need a visa to enter Ukraine if the period of their stay does not exceed 90 days.
