Your green card will only get you back into the US. Your green card does not allow you entry in other countries (it only allows you entry into th eUS). You may still need to get a visa depending on where you are traveling. You should check the visa requirements based on your home country (the one that issued you your passport).

hey everyone! i wanted to know where i can trqvel with my green card. can i go to any country i want or do i need to get a visa to go?

As stated - it is not so much your GC that allows you to travel to foreign countries, but rather your passport.

Greece (I presume this from your timeline) is in the EU so I believe free travel to those countries is allowed. Basically any country you would have needed a visa for before you got your GC, you would still need one now since you are still a citizen of your home-country and are traveling on that country's passport. (The GC allows re-entry back into the US w/out the need for a visa.)

Green-card is for re-entry to the USA.

Only other countries that recognize US green-card holder and wont need a visa to visit is: Canada, Mexico, The Caribbean, and Switzerland.

Since you are from Greece, any country that let you visit without visa before getting a visa will still let you visit without a visa.

Do you have a green-card? Your timeline lacks this info. :time:http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=17796
