Awww Kimmbo, I love it!!! In 1977, I was 3 and hubby was 14. Back in the day, the age diff would have been creepy, but now, no big deal. People usually think he is younger than he is :)

BTW, you have given me a great idea for a photo page .... I have the BEST pic of hubby in the 80's, with a fro and tinted glasses .... I could match a pic of me with big hair .... on second thought, never mind, not if I want hubby to ever speak to me again (he HATES his fro pic!)

Just a little survey for a Friday morning...

I guess I am a memeber of the "Cougar Club" too. I'm 34 and my husband is 23.

Thanks for posting this thread it's a real pick me up! Just got off the phone with my brother-in-law and once again he's asking "What do you guys even have in common?" Anybody else get this?

Umm no, I wouldn't let anyone speak to me that way - how rude!!

It's funny... there is a weird age difference between my husband and I but no one close to us has ever made an issue about it... they're all just happy that each of us have found such a great match. It's people who just meet us who get weird about it "you're a dirty old lady" I'm 31 - hardly the age to be called that.

Hubby is 33 I'll be 26 in April.

But, I've always acted older than my age, and hubby acts his shoe size so I figure we even out when it comes to age :P:lol:

Age really isn't an issue for us or our families...we have so much in common that it doesn't matter.

Except when I mention that a song, or show, or something was cool when I was in grade 9, and he says "I was in the Navy....in Naples" hee hee.

The only thing that he's worried about, is when we have kids...he doesn't want to be 50 something when the kid graduates. I just roll my eyes at him haha.

I am 16 years older than my hubby - I guess I meet the definition of a cougar since I just turned 40, he is 24. :lol: Believe me I was NOT 'on the prowl' though... He acts very mature though in a lot of ways more mature than me, LOL... It only makes me pause sometimes when I think I am only 6 years younger than his mom.....

According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Age_disparity...l_relationships if your in ur 40's and the other half is in his/her 20/30's, your a cougar! Sorry, its on WIKI, so it must be true!! lol I'm 35, my wife is almost 30, but she acts a lot older than I! her nickname is "structure" lol

Well since we met and were married when we were both in our 30's makes my wife not a cougar then. Though 4 years older isn't a lot. But now she's turned into her 40's and I'm still stuck in my late 30's so does that mean she grows fur now and growls like a cat?

I'm just a wanderer in the desert winds...

Right, I wouldn't either. But at our age, a 9-1/2-year difference isn't much (he'll be 51 in a few days; I won't be 42 until October). He's also not the oldest man I've been involved with.

We do the what-were-you-doing-when thing too. Especially with 70s song lyrics. At 8 or 9, I didn't exactly interpret some of the more suggestive songs quite the way he did at 18.

Hee, hee.

It is only good if she can purr.

I was in the same situation.

I am awaiting my fangs to grow in fully. :lol:

Very cool.

Thanks for assisting in bringing up the averages and for knocking people's socks off, I'm sure. :D

Good for you!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have been older and sometimes way older in biological age from lovers in my life.
If you were to ask about my perceived age, that would be different. :lol:
I am still 5! ...or 12 depending on the situation.
Being with older men for me just felt too weird, usually....unless they were extremely playful.
He is six years older than me (actually five years and nine months, but who's counting?).
I used to think he was old, but now, I think six years is just perfect enough for him to be the older, more secure manly man in the relationship. :P
I'm 31, he's 37. He has the body of a college boy...all six pack and lean muscles. I got lucky with this one!
