The VJ timeline counts from when the petition was sent to approval. USCIS doesn't really count until after biometrics are taken. Initially we were told by USCIS that it should take 60-90 days from when they receive the application. Later on I was told 90 days after biometrics. USCIS can't get their stories straight.

Hope all of you who are waiting get good news soon! Waiting for the EAD is almost as tough as waiting for the visa. Or at least that's how it was for us.

Yepyep I totally agree - Waiting for the EAD is as tough as waiting for the visa and the green card!!! :dead:

I've been in the States for almost half year now...Can't work, can't drive, can't go anywhere (even we haven't had our honeymoon yet) Stay at home all the times while husband is working!!! I really hope I can work soon...to help him out...and now he has to work for both jobs!!

Congrats!!!

Isn't that a great feeling after all that wait? K3ers seem to really get the shaft when it comes to the EAD. We waited 118 days for my husband's EAD to be approved. That was a looooong 118 days!

Hi Moody, Ya it seems like forever. My husband was so happy that he yelled and said now I can go look for a job but I had to tell him that he still needed to wait til the EAD was in his hands. Did your husband get a job soon after he received his EAD? Well you take care.

Well we received both emails on the same day (February 21st) and as of now haven't even received the "approval notice" in the mail yet but today (February 25th) we did receive his EAD card. I think they sort of did things backwards here, oh well at least my husband can look for work now and he is so happy. I sure hope that you hear something soon too, it can't be much longer. Good Luck! :)
