Reasons for Emergency AP?

Are the reasons for emergency AP really just if a family member is sick, etc? My sister in law wants my husband and I to be god parents for her son and the Christening is March 22. I hoping we will actually be approved for our GC any day now, but we have yet to receive EAD or AP. Any chance that if we do not receive it before this date, that they can issue AP based on this reason for travel? I am doubtful, but I told my husband I would ask!

You can give it a shot. You have to give them evidence as of why you want/need to travel. They have to decide if they are going to let you or not.

By the way,how do you know your going to be approved any day soon if you have not even had your interview yet? ;)

Most people get an interview and after you have had that then you will get approved or denied.

the only time I have seen emergency AP approved was due to family emergency (ie. someone deathly ill)

With that being said, you can try.

Because we have been transfered to the CSC where they generally approve without interview. We have received many touches over the last few days - which by previous accounts to others, it means we are close.
