I want to apply for my mother in law to come for a visit from Mexico. My husband is here on a K3 visa and we are currently applying to adjust his status, do we use a B2 for my mother in law. She is like 80 yrs old and has a house in mexico and land but no $ in an account. Will it be a hard/long process? Any help is appreciated.

She applies, not you.

Mexicans ae isued the most B Visa's, but she does not sound an obvious candidate.

Pretty simple and relatively quick, and you only have the fee at risk.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
