Doc Verification Warning

Our visa was delayed due to document verification even though it was payed on January 7th a full month before the interview. A Verification of receiving the text was sent by DELBROS. Today, we contacted DELBROS to find out when they forwarded our Document Verification to the US Embassy Manila. After giving our case number DELBROS discovered the Doc Verification was never sent, so they said it would be sent today. That is a 5 week and 4 day delay. This has caused my wife's visa to be put on AR. Estimated time 4 to 6 weeks.

I strongly suggest you call DELBROS after your text message verification to make sure they have forwarded the information. Nobody wants their visa delayed. The phone number is 2-339-2761.

It's the US embasssy's way of verifying that the NSO documents you sent are authentic...

Isn't falling in line for like 4 hours and getting the NSO documentation printed on security paper enough??? :crying:

Anyways, i planning to have my documents verified on the 18th of Feb...a full 3 weeks ahead of my interview sked...i'll certainly be following edp333's advice after what happened to them...

2-0. In favor of the boys.

The same thing has happened to us. My Fiance paid the fee at the Metrobank on Dec. 20. She had her interview and was approved Jan. 7th. She received a call on Jan 14th asking why she has not paid the fee. After sending a fax of the scanned receipt on Jan 14th we have been waiting ever since. Nothing like this nightmare happening after you are approved in the interview.

Do yourself a favor and follow-up with Delbros after the texting just to make sure!

It sure looks like it... How is it that a non-governement agency that has nothing to do with security and has no prior history of document verification become a critical path in this process (rhetorical question)? I'll be adding the document verification part of the process to the guide in the next few days.
