Hey,

Some unexpected health issues has come up and i'm finally around to making my lifting conditions package.

I'm concerned with a few things,

1) - My GC expires on March 29, am i running late now? Should i worry about not getting it there in time? I'm expecting to ship it overnight to TSC tomorrow by UPS.

2) Can i do color copies of the green card / drivers licenses?

3) The fee, 465 + 80. Do we include 2 checks or just one for $545.00?

Thanks guys.

I'm gettring worried i'm gonna be late.. sigh.

1) you're NOT late! As long as you file it before the expiry date of your greencard you are absolutely fine!

2) I have used color copies for some documents, regular copies for others. I don't think it USCIS cares, as long as all copies are legible.

3) It's up to you if you want to make one check or two. In some cases it makes sense to submit more than one check, e.g. when children are to be included and you want to make it easier for the mail room person to identify the correct amount.

Just make sure the total is correct and that you put the check on top of your package. I've secured it with a paperclip on my package, but that's up to personal preference.

Good luck with your case and speedy processing!

1. You're within the 90-day window so you're fine.

2. Color copies are neither required nor necessary. Decent B&W copies are just fine.

3. It's always better to write just ONE check. The advantage to that is that if they have problems with any part of your application, the whole packet will be rejected and returned to you in one piece (and then you can refile).

The USCIS recommends filing early so they can get you an extension before the GC expires.

I submitted just a black and white copy of Claudeth's GC

I only used one check

Good luck

I agree with what everyone posted.

You still have plenty of time.

I color copy all the time.

I always send one check. They lose too much stuff.

Good luck.
