I am lucky too.... my local stop&shop and shaws and Roach Bros all have a very good selection of UK food Items... I spoke with the manager and he has said if there is anything I would like them to stock just to let him know and he will see if he can get it...

I think I actually drooled a little reading about mint viscounts!

I did find a couple of years ago if you buy double stuf mint oreos and close your eyes while eating them, it's not too hard to pretend it's a mint viscount (but it's not the same as the REAL THING!) =)

I took a picture this morning of a few of the shelves at the Hamden Shaw's later today -- I'll try to get it uploaded soon! Today I helped myself to a Galaxy bar and ate it watching a Lifetime Movie Network (aka the Women in Trouble Network) movie. Pure indulgence.

I think I topped your pure indulgence scenario. I'm sitting here eating a box of Maltesers after consuming a Toffee Crisp earlier today. The guilt will be monumental. Tomorrow.

I kinda wish Mags and I had met earlier. When I lived in Broad Ripple (Indy), I lived a few blocks from Atlas grocery store. If you're a fan of David Letterman, then you've heard of Atlas...it's where he worked before becoming famous. Atlas was wonderful! All kinds of "odd" things for sale, including lots of British products. Sadly, after the owner (Sid) died, the place was quickly sold and razed.

Here's a pic of it right after Sid died:

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

I know nobody really cares, but I got some Smarties at an Indian grocery store over the weekend...hehehe. They also carry other Brit candies... I just find it a funny place to find Brit candies. And these were definiely the Brit kind because the orange ones tasted orangey, unlike the Canadian version where they all taste the same. *shrug* The next time I go to the Indian store I'll grab some Aero...I know hubster likes those....and more Smarites for ME!

You can get HP at the World Market stores

Awesome! There's one in Chicago apparently, so that's a 7 hour round trip to get my HP sauce.

Worth every mile :D

Don't you miss #8 rock from Wales, my aunt was from there and would bring us some every summer when she can to visit us in Scotland.

We have neither CVS nor Rite Aid here, our *only* pharmacy is Walgreen's. My husband has been working his way through the stock he picked up, though, so I assume they taste pretty good.
