Hi all ,

can someone throw some light on this ??

a) what are the grounds people can do aos from b1/b2 visa ???

B) Do people need to inform the poe officer that they want to do aos later !!

c) i heard someone on B1/b2 had his "NO EOS, NO COS, and no AOS " stamped at the back of his I-194.He was a doctor and went to attend some exam.he wanted to change his status later to F1 but cdnt do so as he was stamped with thing like this . So is it a general pratice at the POE to stamp this whenever someone gets a 4-5 months visa ??

Can someone pls let me know ??

If you inform the POE officer upon arrival on a b1/b2 visa that you intend to file for adjustment of status at a later date it will pretty much guarantee that you will be on the very next flight back to your home country....

YMMV

Yes, but that suspicion could have arisen from something as simple as the country of origin. This would be either an internal policy of CBP, completely at the judgment of the officer or some of both.

A B2 visa is neither a fiance visa or a spouse visa and is not intended to facilitate immigration to the USA.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
