That sounds like a great idea, I think the Embassy is not too far from the medical centre, I am planning to have my xrays about 1pm, maybe we could do lunch after that, what do you think?

Pete is more or less burning his bridges over there and waiting anxiously to be here. He's sold most of everything he owned, his car is almost dead and he's not going to get it fixed, he's sorting through piles of paperwork on his own. I was so lonely for him today that I started to write a little poem about waiting. Yet it's too soon to be anticipating the happy reunion at the airport.

GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. This is not a fun time.

i'm very curious about that poem about waiting lois!

as for me, i'm all ready to send package 3 back. well, i've been ready for weeks now but whatever... i'm still looking at a 5 month wait till i see arash again so not really in a rush. even more, i think once i have the visa i'll be so ready to jump on the next plane.

Double congrats!! You surely have something to celebrate. NVC will ship it out of there in no time - mine only sat for a couple of days before they sent it to Jamaica. And the DHL trick really works - I watched it go door to door in 24 hrs.

Well, my train home is at 3.10pm so I think it'll be tight on time but maybe if we could meet near Kings Cross? I assume you'll be getting a train from near there too? Or we could meet near the medical/embassy and go back to the station together and get a coffee - in fact i may need something stronger! lol

Oh that's great! You had to wait so long for the NOA2 but then all of a sudden everything at once! Congrats to Kevin for his exams. Isn't it funny how good things (and bad things) happen all at once.

We have not heard from the Embassy and no package 3 yet, I have sent and email to embassy on Friday to check the status, Friday was a holiday in Russia, if I do not hear anything from them by tomorrow I'll call them up $12.00 per call

Good luck to everyone

That's frustrating when you've gone through the US side of it but then they don't get their packet 3 from the embassy. Pete was supposed to call London today to find out why he never got it. The other thing that's holding him up is the police report -- 5 weeks waiting so far. It will feel good to break through these barriers -- I know what you mean about the $12.00 per call---yeeeeks. It gets expensive.

Hope that helps.

And once it does get to London things from there move quickly

HE HAS IT!! :bonk: After a phone fight last night he called London today. They said he should have it -- HE says he checked the mail and there it was. (It seems kind of co-incidental to me but at least he does have it.)

That got him going and so he ran around today getting his information, new passport photos, talking with his lawyer and also his doctor AND he even called Scotland Yard to see why the police report has taken 5 weeks.

He said the Scotland Yard person was very nice and will expedite his police report so that he will have it in a week. PROGRESS!

Congrats Lois! I hope Pete filed for the newest (ACPO) police report...it should only take 10 days or less from what I've seen, and if he didn't get that one, the embassy isn't accepting the old type anymore.

Called the NVC tonight and the woman told me our petition left yesterday!!!! It is moving! Now I've gotta read over that thread and figure out the tracking thing!

Thank You! It's the new police report that he's waiting for, thank goodness I found that out on here. I don't know why it takes so long for things to get to him but he did explain why packet 3 took 17 days to get from London--the Embassy had cello-taped it and it was stuck to something else and traveled all around England!

Glad to see that you have some action too. (as long as the Embassy doesn't use cello-tape and yours goes traveling like ours did you should be dealing with fun-fun-fun packet 3 pretty soon.)

Keep us posted!!!!
