but bloody hell, i was at USCIS and saw the new fees for filling AOS, its over a grand!!! i cant for the life of me remember what it was when we filed back in 2005....anyone remember?

20/July/05 Married in Las Vegas!!

AOS approved April 12th 2006!!

4/01/08 mailed I-751 to Nebraska

4/3/08 package arrives at Nebraska

4/11/08 check cashed

4/14/08 recieved NOA extension letter

4/26/08 recieved biometrics appointment letter plus it looks like our case has been forwarded to California!

5/02/08 Biometrics scheduled

5/02/08 Biometrics completed in 10 mins!

Woo Hoo....8/28/08 Recieved 10yr Greencard in mail, no approved email!! We are done!!!

thinking on i think it was like $385.......over a grand is...wow....quite the hike in price there...

If I remember correctly - the entire "package" was $725 (385 AOS, 180 EAD, 160 AP). Its only $285 difference with an added value of future interim benefits included. In other words if you are "unlucky" like many of us are and must renew interims, its included with the original cost of filing. You just have to fill out the forms.

Its not as if the AOS alone went from 385 to 1010. Its a package deal now.

$725 sounds about right for when we filed nessa's aos/ead/ap package in jan 07. we had to refile the ead this month and it jumped from 180 to 340 now :blink:
