Hello everyone I"m in the process of filig out paperwork to adjust status...I am a Canadian with a F1 status and I was never given a A# unless i'm not seeing it ....do I have one or am I not lookign in the right place??

HMMMM... I FOUND MY A# ON MY EAD CARD...DO YOU HAVE AN EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION CARD?

Hello,,, your A# is in your visa,, look for the number there that starts with A. You can also find it in your I129 NOA2-approval notice, written above your name with A# also... just check it out!!!

I-751 timeline

3/05/10 - mailed I-751 packet

3/12/10 - arrived at CSC

3/16/10 - online status, NOA mailed but no mail received

3/18/10 - Check cashed

4/15/10 - biometric appointment (notice recv'd in mail - 4/01/10)

4/16/10 - touched

4/18/10 - I-485 & EAD touched????

5/03/10 - Card production ordered

5/11/10 - letter of Approval received in the mail

5/26/10 - email received "letter of Approval" sent in the mail... not yet received till now 6/8/10

7/07/10 - called USCIS why green card has not received yet

7/09/10 - email from USCIS stating that they already sent the GC on May 25th and undeliverable,

adviced to apply for I-90 as it might have been lost in mail

7/25/10 - mailed application for I-90 (replacement of lost or stolen card)

9/16/10 - biometric appointment

9/20/10 - touched

9/21/10 - touched

You may not have an A# being from Canada. I didn't since I came in on TN status and never applied for a visa. I assume in your case you simply came to a border crossing or US customs station at an airport to get F1 status (since Canadians dont need to apply ahead for a visa). So in this case chances are you didnt get an A#.

Check box a for application type since your I-130 that your spouse is filing for you gives you immediate ability to adjust status.

July 24, 2007: Mailed all paperwork to Chicago (Wish us luck)

Aug 31, 2007: Biometrics Appointment

Sep 1, 2007: Received NOA1 (Dated Aug 29)

Nov 25, 2007: Received notice for interview in Baltimore, MD (No touches, nothing online to date)

Jan 22, 2008: Interview in Baltimore, MD. Went well.

Jan 29, 2008: Can finally track I-130 online. Approved.

Jan 31, 2008: Email I-485 "Card production ordered"

Feb 5, 2008: Another email I-485 "Card production ordered"

Feb 7, 2008: Received I-130 approval and I-485 "Welcome to America Letter" in snail mail

Feb 7, 2008: Email I-485 "Approval notice mailed"

Feb 9, 2008: GC in hand....... (Done with USCIS for a few months) YAYY!!!!!!

Oct 22, 2009: Process starts again. Going to mail I-751 to VSC

Jan 26, 2010: Notice of Approval and Card Production for 10-year GC

Feb 3, 2010: 10-Year GC Received

Also I just found out I was pregnant yesterday :)

When we fill out the Affidavit of support do we gave to mention that aas another dependant? (With out joint sponsor we have the income I just dont know if we have to mention b/c I'm not that far along)

If you had an OPT EAD, you would have an alien number on it.

AOS Approved on 10-17-08 (details in profile)

Removal of Conditions on 07-19-10

In this tedious process, we tend to forget that this is all worth it.

I love my hubby beyond anything in this world.
