Hey guys,

I know it been awhile since I've been on the site, however, everything is or should I say was going well until a letter that I received on the mail saying that they have cancelled our interview date which was supposed to held on March. One thing I don't get is that we have received the confirmation letter a day prior to the cancellation one. It says:

This is to advise you that, due to unforeseen circumstances, we have canceled the previously scheduled interview on March 2008 for the above applicant. We regret any inconvenience this may cause. You will be notified of any further action taken on this case, including any rescheduled interview information, under serapate notice.

I'm wondering did any been thru this before? should I be worried?

Your help will be really appreciated.

Thanks guys.

I've seen other VJers receive such an advice of interview cancellation. The general advice has been to just go ahead and show up at the originally scheduled interview just in the case the cancellation was an error. If the cancellation was an error and you don't show up, it could mean a denial of your AOS as some VJers found out too late. If they did cancel your interview for real and they turn you away, at least you know that you will still get your interview date.

Go to the interview anyway! We received an e-mail, and the regular mail saying that our interview for Feb. 1, 2007 was cancelled....and out Atty received the hardcopy also, so we didn't go and got denied for failure to appear for interview.....had to pay $385 to REOPEN the file and didn't get out interview rescheduled until Aug. Now we are still waiting for a decision, and just recieved an appointment for Biometrics Again for the AOS.....

Just simplier to go......the worst they can tell you if you go is that it was canceled...if you don't go, you could get denied.

Totally awful what happened to you guys. Is there any recourse? There is no way you should have to pay that money to reopen the case - can you call your congressman? I would fight for it purely out of princeple!
