immigration stopped me once with my rubbed out certificate...took me into a room, where the officer just asked for some I.D with a picture. So I pulled out my M.A. drivers liscense, homeboy asked me, why do I have a M.A. liscense instead of a N.Y. liscense, i just replied because I do. get real and get lost. I thought they were going to question me on the number of times I had been going, to J.A. to me that seemed resonably.

I hope you have a US passport because if you do, you're more than fine, don't worry. My mom also misplaced hers about 10 years ago (I actually think someone threw it away out of spite) but she still has her US passport and has been fine. She also doesn't have the extra cash to get a new certificate.

I hope things turn out ok.
