Just wanted to let you know...

Our I-129F petition was approved on April 14. I called NVC this morning (after reading RMHurd's post) and they said they sent my application to the Montreal consulate yesterday, April 24.

So yes, things are moving along.

RMHurd, your post made me smile.

That's nice that your case has been both approved, received and forwarded on to the consulate. I've called NVC several times and they said they haven't received my case as of yet, and it was approved on the 13th (April) :( . I guess I just have to keep waiting......

It will get there, you are only just behind us. :D I just assumed they mailed our NOA2 at the same time they sent the file to NVC, because they both arrived on the same day. When you get your hard copy NOA2 it's more likely that your case will be on it's way, if not already at NVC. You are approved and many people are still waiting, the road to NVC is short in comparison.

I would love to be able to call them, but I am at work and cant make long distance calls here.

I called NVC, they confirmed the file was sent via DHL, but were unable to tell me how to track it. It's a crying shame when it's cheaper to call NVC than it is the Consulate in our own country!

Did they give you any information on tracking the package?

Found what I think we've been looking for at long last :hehe: (Quote from Peter Miami)

"Tracking Instructions for DHL

www.dhl.com

Track by Reference

Reference: (Depends on Embassy)

I-730

EXPEDITE NIV SECTION (Maybe Non-Immigrant Visas)

EXPEDITE IV SECTION (Maybe Immigrant Visas)

CORRESPONDENCE

Put the range of dates around the date that NVC gives you as package has been shipped.

And there you have it.

Good luck,

Peter Miami "

So now I know they sent my papers on Friday (confirmed serveral times) and received them on the Monday at the Consulate..............even though they tell me they have not received them yet. History show that London is faster at getting received cases onto the system than they are updating with packet 3.

BTW I found London with "EXPEDITE" reference.:dance::dance:

Please take a look at wmhurd - my husband. If we both fill it in, it will upset the stats.
