When I went for my biometrics, it was done manually, the whole fashion way, instead of a computer. I had to dip my 10 fingers in some ink pad. I think the only thig I did with the computer was taking the picture and sign ( I guess what will be the 10 year green card). She then took my index fingerprint.

Now my question is: IS this inusual and how long before I see an update on the USCIS website that I actually went to the appointmant at least!

Thanks!

I noticed at the service centre that some people went for biometrics on the manual inky one. I did notice they tried the computer one first and for whatever reason they were unable to get prints, maybe too much of something on there fingers as they kept making them wipe there hands nd eventually they were guided over to the manual one. Who knows as long as they are done!
