Timeline

When I went for my biometrics, it was done manually, the whole fashion way, instead of a computer. I had to dip my 10 fingers in some ink pad. I think the only thig I did with the computer was taking the picture and sign ( I guess what will be the 10 year green card). She then took my index fingerprint.

Now my question is: IS this inusual and how long before I see an update on the USCIS website that I actually went to the appointmant at least!

November 24, 2008 > Application Filed at TSC via United States Postal Service (day 0)

November 26, 2008 > Application delivered to TSC. Confirm by Postal Service (day 2)

December 04, 2008 > Check Cashed (day 9)

December 08, 2008 > NOA 1 in Mail / Case tranferred to National Benefit Center (day 14)

December 15, 2008 > Biometric appointment letter in mail (day 21 )

January 6, 2009 > Biometric appointment (day 43)

February 5, 2009 > Interview appointment letter in the mail (day 74)

March 26, 2009 > Interview date (day 121)

April 6, 2009 > Oath letter in mail (day 132)

April 17, 2009 > Oath ceremony (day 143 )

April 17, 2009 > I am a US Citizen now!!!

April 20, 2009 > Applied for my US passport via USPS Expedite service and mail my voter's registration card application

April 28, 2009 > Received voter's registration card

April 29, 2009 > Received US Passport

Maybe their computer was down for the count... I don't think the manual way is usual, but it won't hurt either...

Now anybody got any clue how long after their biometrics, their case has been touched at least updated online? I had my biometrics on the Jan 25 and still I do not even see updated info saying I dd my biometrics when I check.

06/16/10 - Case available online

06/17/10 - Case online showing RFE (Biometrics notice) sent on 06/16/10

06/21/10 - Biometrics Letter Received

07/08/10 - Biometrics appointment

07/07/10 - Walk in Biometrics

08/06/10 - Email / Text for for new case status: "Test and Interview"

08/09/10 - Interview Appointment letter received for 09/13/10

09/13/10 - Interview Approved!

09/13/10 - Same Day Ceremony! I am a US Citizen!

I noticed at the service centre that some people went for biometrics on the manual inky one. I did notice they tried the computer one first and for whatever reason they were unable to get prints, maybe too much of something on there fingers as they kept making them wipe there hands nd eventually they were guided over to the manual one. Who knows as long as they are done!
