Case status - last updated date

Does the last updated date mean anything if the status remains unchanged?

I am merely curious as our case was updated Jan 21, 23, 25 and 27 without any change of status. Furthermore, from anything I can tell they are currently approving late July / early August filers right now.

Any input would be appreciated!

All it means is that an adjudicating officer is working on it, nothing more, nothing less.

It means someone at USCIS worked on your file on those dates. If they do any change of status, you would notice. No one will be able to predict when your case will be approved.

Thanks for the fast replies.

I wasn't sure if it just meant it was added to the online system or if someone actually looked at our application forms.

So that is good to know.
