Guys,

We are withdrawing our I-129F petition since my fiancee (who is the petitioner and U.S. citizen) was under the mistaken belief due to improper legal advice that she could file the petition before her 2nd divorce was declared final by court decree. We already mailed the Letter of Withdrawal last December 30, 2007 which was received by USCIS on January 3, 2008. How long does it take for USCIS to take action on this? We are just waiting for the petition to be withdrawn in order for us to file it again, properly this time, and this time, we're doing it on our own, no more lawyers.

As a related site note, thanks to all of you who replied to our query regarding withdrawing the petition. The thread for this can be found here:

It doesn't really matter how long it takes them. I would simply mention it in my cover letter and include a copy of request to withdraw when you next file. No need to wait.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
