after how many days we'll get passport (stamped with visa)....

my interview is at new delhi embassy......

Can i get passport by hand after interview( or next day after interview)????

USCIS

I-130 sent :- 4-17-2007

I-130 recieved by USCIS( NOA 1) :- 5-1-07

I-130 approval ( NOA 2) :- 8-15-07

NVC

Case recieved at NVC :- 8-28-07

DS-3032 & AOS fee bill sent :- b]9-10-07[/b

DS-3032 & AOS fee bill recieved :- 9-14-07

DS-3032 & AOS fee bill sent :- 9-17-07

DS-3032 recieved in india :- 9-29-07

DS-3032 sent :- 10-1-07

IV fee bill generated :- 10- 1-07

Received IV fee bill & AOS :-10-15-07

sent IV fee bill & AOS :- 10-23-07

NVC recieved IV fee bill :- 10-29-07

DS-230 sent by NVC :- 11-6-07

Received DS -230 form :- 11-19-07

sent DS-230 :- 11-24-07

NVC recieved DS-230 :- 11-29-07

CASE COMPLETE :- 12-10-07

NVC left :- 12-20-07

Embassy recieved :- 12-26-07

Medical:- 01-21-08

Interview date :- 02-07-08

02-08-08:-Talked to DOS opertaor...... case sent to washington DC for security check

02-14-08:- went embassy agn for fingerprints

02-16-08 :- embassy sent letter for passport submission

02-22-08:- submitted passport at VFS

26-02-08 :- Visa granted

28-02-08 :- Visa in hand

it depends on what they tell you at the interview....i pray that they give you good news and give it to you in the shortest time!!! they told my husband that it will take about 14 days to issue the visa, then they would mail it out using DHL....thankfully, it was issued only 7 days later and only 2 days after that, it was in his hands....

i don't know if its possilbe to get it any sooner than that....but i would recommend waiting until its actually in your hands before making any travel plans [if that's why you're asking]...

my wife got her passport after 4 days in pakistan.all the best for ur interview :thumbs:
