Hello,

We just received the interview packet for the CR1 interview. I looked at the documents to bring to the interview, and it does not say that we have to pay 130 dollars for the interview fee or to bring a ds-156? does anybody know if this is correct for a CR1 interview? Thanks.

DS-156 is the Non-Immigrant visa form which has a fee. The CR1 is an immigrant visa and therefore it will not be required.

Juan, so do you have to pay for the cr-1 visa?

My interview is on march 17th!!

I talked to the embassy last week, and the lady said that Im going to have to pay the 400 dollars for the IV bill, but I told here that I already paid 380 to the NVC. So im going to take proof that I paid that money. I hope that works.

The packet that I received had an interview date on the first page, and a little more then a week after I received the packet, my wife got hers and it was the same thing. I would start calling the embassy to find out about the interview date, because they might not let your wife in the embassy without an interview date on the letter. Let me know if you have any questions.

Is the packet your wife received the exact same thing as i one you got?

I scanned my packets and emailed it to her.
