Does anyone know how current the police records have to be, my husband was checking into it at his police station, and they told him it would take them atleast 40 days to mail his records to him once he paid the fee. So is it okay for him to get them now or should we wait until we atleast get the NOA2 from the I-130? I don't want to get them too soon, but I don't want to wait too long either.

Go for it....

In packet 3 from the Embassy in London it states that the police certificate is valid for 1 year.

We ordered the UK police Certificate before we got NOA2, they took 38 days to arrive.

How soon do you expect approval, your time line does not give a date?

07/16/07 posted I-129f

Yeah, i agree with "B". Order it. IF you find out something different later just order a new one. The cost of a fee, even if $100, is worth the world to save "40 days." Hell, I'd pay $1,000 just to get my case moving!

5/18/07 NOA1 I-130

1/16 Congressman investigating

1/18/08 still silence.

5/18/07 130 Priority Date

1/29/08 130 NOA2

7/12/07 K3 Priority date

1/29/08 NOA2

2/20/08 NVC Recieved

2/22/08 Leave NVC

2/27/08 Embassy Recieves

3/7/08 Interview- APPROVED. Dora was interogated for 2 hours since she had a denial at POE last year. It was brutal, but she never had anything to hide.

3/10/08 Visa and plane ticket in hand

3/11/08 POE Miami (Why wait, huh?)

Timeline 130 filing to POE=306 days.

3/17/08 Mailed AOS via USPS Express Mail to Chicago lockbox

4/21/08 Recieved NOA1's for AOS, EAD, and Trav Doc's.

5/9/08 Biometrics appt scheduled for EAD and AOS.

What about military certificates? My lawyer says to wait until we get NOA2 to order any certificates. I have a police certificate from May 2007. I might have to reorder that as well if we don't get to interview phase in time. This could take a while to get in Bosnia. What do you all think? Should I order it now what is the expiration on Military certs?
