Re: commuting together. We only have one car right now so Griff drives me to work fairly often, though not as much since we moved out in to suburbia. I love when he does drive me to work, though. Its nice to have some alone time just chatting about whatever. Not a problem for you guys since you don't have kids, but its nice all the same!

Yeah, it really is awesome. Before he came here I think one of the biggest worries was what he was going to do for work. Understandably, he didn't want to end up at a place he wasn't going to enjoy. So this is really great.

I'm sure the no-kids commute is nice. I wouldn't have thought of it that way, not having any!

We just got a baby rescue kitten - a little tom who is three months old and adorable. Daisy is now very p*ssed off at me and has gone out again even though she was out all day and I feel terrible. I hope she is ok

awwwww, I want to see pictures of the kitten!!! Daisy will get over it.

it took me forever to give them my fingerprints, I somehow couldn't relax my fingers an roll them accordingly..

about the guests......

well, they went through 2 rolls of toiletpaper a day, ate nothing but lettuce, drank 12 cups of coffee a day, were too weak to do sightseeing because they didn't eat. they spent 4h in the bathroom each day.

Saturday we went sightseeing with the girl i grew up with, and that was really nice. the other girl had to stay at home because she was too weak. they didn't really look at anything but shoppingmalls. ohwell, there isn't much out here anyway

I'll try and get some piccies tomorrow - Daisy has come back in and tried to attack the bathroom door after miaowing at it but she came and sat on the laptop for a bit with her tail flicking before sitting next to the back of the sofa and then wanting to go out again. We have to leave the kitten in the bathroom for a few days so he establishes his territory there and make sure that we spend time with him when Daisy isn't around so she doesn't get jealous. Then we have to gradually introduce each to the other's scent before leaving the door open and letting them explore each other. Apparently it is normal for there to be a little animosity at first I just feel a bit mean taking the kitty away from his little brothers and sisters and locking him away in a bathroom. He has a litter tray, food, water, toys and a cushion along with a damp towel as there is no air con in there.

Of course, once the pics are up we will welcome name suggestions Agnes - you can meet him if you come to the Halloween party but if you can't make that then maybe you can make it to the New Year's Eve one

Marta - they kinda did - you can read the fiasco so far in the UK off topic thread - Daisy is still grumpy and the little guy is still not happy being in the bathroom but I don't want to let him run rampage all over the house yet. And he peed on the bathroom mat

I think I need to go take a shower and give him some company while Daisy is out, poor thing

He is adorable but very - climby I also think that the whole "bathroom-being-his-safe-place" has turned more into "where-I-can-get-food-once-I-have-eaten-Daisy's-grown-up-kitty-food" and that his safe place is on my feet, lap, shoulders, neck, chest or wherever else he can dig his spiky little claws!!

Not complaining though - they are both asleep right now so it is nice and peaceful - I am sure that won't last

Awwwww Aly he's adorable. I think he looks like a Casper. My wee boy Oscar has the vet this afternoon. He got into a fight with one of my landladys 4 cats two days ago and got bit on the nose. The bite has gotten infected and now he has a big swollen nose. It looks kinda funny and I keep laughing but I feel really bad. Probably will stop laughing when I get the vet bill.

Anyways...Just read a certain thread and getting really annoyed about people saying I'll be getting my EAD in a couple of weeks or I'm expecting my EAD very soon. GRRRRRRR NO...you have a while to wait yet my dears, just because your biometrics is done doesn't mean your EAD is in the freaking mail....sorry, had to get that off my chest!

As for EAD - it feels weird still to know that I will be able to work here - it is just so strange! None of my cases are showing online still and it is beginning to do my head in I don't care about waiting - I just want to see what is going on (or not as the case may be)

I don't think we could see any of Griff's status online until after his biometrics were done. And, the AP status was never online.

Riley is a cute name for a very cute kitty! I love gray & white kitties.
