Anybody going thru AOS from PA?

Hello!

As you can see in my time line I'm a K-1 Filler and will have the interview this week coming up. I'm just getting ready for the next step. I've read about bumps getting SS in different States and I don't know how things work in PA. I'm a little confused about the proper order to get things done.

is this right? I hope you can help me

1- get marriage license. Is the passport good enough to get this?

2- get married.

3- wait for 2 weeks. bring marriage certificate. get SS on new name.

4- fill and send out AOS. (on new name too?)

Is this the proper way? I will appreciate your replies to this post!

Check your states own marriage laws, some require SSN prior to marriage. But thats basically it.

I filed for AOS in the state of PA and that's how we did everything...

I came here and first thing I did was apply for a SSN BEFORE we got married. Than we got a marriege license (my passport was good enough). After that we got married and 1 week later we filed for AOS. I did a mistake and filed with my maiden name but I could change that while it was processing. Than I went down to the SSA and had the name on my SSC changed. I got the SSN first cause I wanted to get a bank account and a drivers license and an ID and without a SSN you can't get neither of that.
