Hi All,

An update!

We received packet 4 through the post today with an interview date of 10th May

We sent packet 3 on the 5th of April so we're shocked at how quickly they've come back to us.

We sent 3 emails requesting information as packet 3 was lost in the post when they sent it to us-just to confirm they received it.

We also told them we wanted to fly to Houston, TX by the end of May because we have 2 dogs & no animals can fly into the state with BA between 1st June-15th September...so mabye that helped.

WOO HOO so excited!

Hi All,

Thanks for your responses & well wishes!

Furball, the airline won't fly them into TX due to the exessive heat in the summer, which is good in a way because I know they're just looking out for the best interests of the dogs.

Senka-GOOD LUCK with your interview! So exciting! Let us know what happens at your interview...I'll be taking loads of notes from you ;)

Easycome-the dogs have had some VERY nice treats today  They don't get why and they'd hate us if they had any idea what's in store for them...but they do seem to enjoy being spoiled :D

Congrats!

May I ask how you went to the UK? On a fiance visa that costs 500 quid?

Were you able to work on it? I don't think so, but I want to make sure. Then, after getting married, are you able to work while waiting for your papers?

I really appreciate any answers!

Hello,

I got a fiance visa while I was in the states. It was good for 6 months. I then had to apply for a temporary residence visa which was good for a year. During that time I was unable to work. Once that visa was close to expiring, I went to Croydon (The Home Office) and applied for my permenent residence visa. This allowed me to work. I used what they call a temporary NIS number until I was able to apply for one of my own.

Hope this helps :)

Thanks.

How long did the UK fiance visa take to get from the States?

So basically for 12 months, you couldn't work. Then you could?

I have a NIN since I used to live there.

Thanks for any help!
