hello , im glad to read your question here, it seem its apply to me too. anyway we also have son he just turn 2 years old and my fiance for 3 years just pased the US citizenship but need to attent his ceremory by January. we starting gathering our requirements, but yes we have some question abput our son requirements? did u able to find the answer? does we need to get his passport at US embassy? i hope we can find answer soon cuz i already planning to file for his passport here. and my son name, he uses his daddy surname by the way! hope anybody can help! thanks to all.

Since your son was born before his father was a US Citizen, he'll need a visa. Your fiance can simply list the son's name on the I-129F petition. Later, you'll apply for a K1 visa for you and a K2 visa for your son. Since you and the father are not married, the Consulate may request a DNA test for the son.
