Hello everyone, happy new year to all

We just got the noticed of my biometric appointment and it scheduled this jan 11, 2008 at 12 noon. My question is: what is biometric? is it the interview time? what is the use of biometric in AOS file?

We just like to know how important it is since me and my husband dont understand this thing..

Thank you so much for your great help.

Biometrics is only taking fingerprints and photo - no interview. It only takes maybe 10 minutes to do (after you wait in line for a few minutes). Bring your original appointment letter, your passport and perhaps your marriage certificate. That's all there is to it.

Biometrics is very important. The fingerprints will be used to check FBI records. The digital picture and digital signature will be placed on your EAD (if you applied for one) and the green card.
