Just a heads up from information I have seen elsewhere.

It seems the London Embassy at the moment are not accepting equity in UK property as an asset acceptable on the I-864. Someone has reported being knocked back when they had ample equity in their UK house, as to quote them - the US Embassy would not let us use our house as an asset "due to the current market".

What to expect at the POE - WIKI entry

Congrats Stuart! I was number 5003.. I got there at 7:30am this morning. The whole process only took around 1.5 hours, did you have to wait a long time? By the time I left, the embassy was pretty crowded.

Wow news - when we did ours and since the house was sold it was totally acceptable - its still an asset but who knows with the economy anymore

Cheers!!!!!!

My appointment was at 8am! I had to leave my house at 6:30am, which I haven't done since I was 17.. haha. I got in to the embassy at around 8am, and left just before 10am. At the first part of my appointment, the computer wouldn't work as well. Had to grab everything and go from cubical 01 to 14, stopping of at 12 to pay the fees. What did you think of the giant envelope with the x-rays? It raised a few eyebrows when I sat down to wait for the interview. Maybe the onlookers thought I was a special agent? Well, probably not lol. I was trying to look out for you, but I couldn't recognise you from your forum picture. Congrats too, I agree, the words "you're approved" are worth any amount of time.

Steve :D
