Hi

I am an Iranian resident, is there any country in which I can file I-130?

Thanks

Most of the cases for Iranians that I have seen here on VJ were processed through Abu Dhabi or Turkey. None of these were DCF cases -- they were petitions filed in the U.S. by American spouses/fiances.

Your best bet is to contact the U.S. Embassy/Consulate in either Turkey or Abu Dhabi and ask if they can handle your case as a DCF.

Best of luck !

By "Iranian resident" do you mean you live in Iran? Or that you're a permanent resident of USA?

As for filing - since there are no consulates in Iran, you can file your paperwork in USA with the USCIS (United States Center for Immigration Services). You can download the forms from their website.

Once your case gets initial approval, it is forwarded to another department called the National Visa Center. They will determine which consulate the Iranian immigrant will go to for their interview.

If you want to file directly with the consulate, you need to go to American consulates in Turkey or UAE.

Hello Nutty,

Thank you for your information. I live in Iran.

Actually I contacted Turkey, Cyprus and UAE for DCF but they said they do that just for the residents of their countries!

If I should go to the USA, where in the US should I file I-130? Does it depend on where I intend to live in the US?

Is it possible to send the documents for filing directly while I am outside the US? or by the aid of a friend in the US?

Thanks
